Charin obtained his LL.B. (with Honors) from Ramkhamheang University; LL.M. from Cornell University under Fulbright Scholarship; and Master of Management degree from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration.

Charin’s practice focuses mainly on capital markets, project and project finance, financial regulations and takeovers.

He has represented major clients in many of the innovative transactions, including the local and international offerings of the CPN Retail Growth Fund, the first Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in Thailand, and Samui Airport Property Fund, the first REIT that invests in airport asset.  He has also represented client in establishment of infrastructure funds.

Charin has been retained as a National Consultant in Thailand by Asian Development Bank to work with other international consultants on the Capital Markets Development Plan and Public Private Partnerships.

Charin also has expertise in relation to banking industry and financial regulations. He has represented major commercial banks in Thailand in raising capital funds in domestic and international capital markets, and also represented international financial institutions in acquiring Thai commercial banks. During the financial crisis in 1997, he has represented several commercial banks in the offering of Tier One capital securities, participating in bank bailed-out programs by the Thai Government and establishing asset management companies. He has also represented banks in the sales of non-performing loans.

Charin has extensive experiences in takeovers transactions, especially acquisition of the public listed companies and the tender offer. He is a member of the Takeover Panel appointed by the Securities Exchange Commission.
