Gavin grew up around hospitality people having been raised by his father who cofounded the Erawan Group, a hotel investment and development company currently owning 45 hotels with 9 brands in operation, including the very first hotel, the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. His mother founded Kuppa, Thailand’s very first coffee roasters and a dining institution since 1998.
Drawing from the experiences of both his parents, Gavin dreams of owning his own brand of hotels, which operates like a family. He did not expect, however, to start his entrepreneurial career in the office business. Upon finding out that his maternal grandfather has been ailing in 2008, Gavin engineered a purchase of the Asoke Towers office building, becoming an owner manager of an asset once belong to his grandfather, to rid the latter of financial burdens and ease his retirement.
Throughout his career, Gavin has founded Glowfish offices, which transformed Thailand’s serviced office industry through deep understanding of the millennial workforce. He has created Kuppadeli cafes to continue his mother’s passion in the coffee business. Finally, in 2014, he was entrusted to develop Ad Lib hotel on an old family home. Since then, Ad Lib has received many international acclaims for the uniqueness of its design and the passion of its people.
