Chairman and Managing Director
Michael Evanoff worked for major law firms in New York and London before joining Hyatt International Corporation in 1984. He served Hyatt International as General Counsel, as Vice President – Development and General Counsel, and as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. During his twenty years at Hyatt International, Michael oversaw the development of approximately seventy Hyatt International hotels worldwide, as well as several casinos and multi-purpose projects.
After chairing a private equity firm in Singapore from 2004 to 2009, Michael founded Marlborough Hospitality Services, which is also based in Singapore and which provides a range of legal, development and project oversight services to the hospitality and residential housing industries.
Michael has personally negotiated and documented well over one hundred international hotel management agreements and their ancillary contracts, representing both investors and hotel management companies, and has drafted the standard management agreements for a number of chains, major and minor. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, the University of Michigan Law School, and the London School of Economics, and is a member of the New York State and U.S. Federal Bars.
